Photonics biosensing based on liquid & online biopsies

In this seminar, we will discuss two approaches to detecting specific biomarkers in skin and body fluids. We will introduce a multimodal spectroscopic fiber sensor designed to monitor skin biomarkers associated with mental states, such as stress. Also, we will present a liquid biopsy-based method, which offers exceptional sensitivity for detecting trace molecules in fluids such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), blood, or saliva. Examples of use cases will be shared, focusing on neurodegenerative diseases and sepsis.
