The UC Davis CTSC was one of the inaugural Clinical and Translational Award sites and over the last 15 years has transformed the clinical and translational research enterprise at UC Davis. CTSC’s mission is to create research teams of the future to improve human health through provision of research resources, development, demonstration, and dissemination of innovative processes and methods, cutting edge informatics, and community engagement.
The CTSC provides centralized resources to facilitate translation of new technologies such as those of NCIBT. It offers support for all aspects of clinical trial development and of training of clinical investigators, both of which will be available to the NCIBT. The CTSC will provide the NCIBT with expertise and resources - in areas including trial design, application for IRB approval, regulatory compliance, and rigorous analysis of results - needed to plan, implement, and conclude the clinical trials of its technologies. CTSC expertise in education and training will be available to the NCIBT as it develops and executes its strategies for education, training, and dissemination.
