The international workshop “Women in Photonics“ offers an unique chance to excellent female scientists at the beginning of their ­career to connect, present their research and learn from experts in photonics holding leading positions at research institutions and companies.

A limited number of travel grants will be made available. Application deadline is March 24, 2025.

The next workshop will take place in Jena from June 1 to 5, 2025. This year, Prof. Zsuzsanna Heiner (Head of the SALSA Photonics Lab, School of Analytical Sciences Adlershof, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) and Dr. Karin Wieland (Area Manager and Senior Researcher at Competence Center Chase GmbH Vienna) will accompany the workshop and enrich it with their personal experience. Various research institutions and companies will actively participate and present possible career paths in industry and research.
