Bio

Weijian Yang is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at University of California, Davis. His research interests lie at the intersection of electrical engineering, biomedical engineering and neuroscience. Specifically, he is interested in optical microscopy, biophotonics, integrated optics and optoelectronics, neuroengineering and using advanced technologies to study the functional organization and plasticity of neural circuits. He published more than 100 papers in journals and conference proceedings. He is a recipient of the Career Awards at the Scientific Interface from Burroughs Wellcome Fund in 2016, and the NSF Early Career Award in 2019.
